A Thousand Strange Places: Anthony Shadid and the Middle East

Playwright Robert Myers will be joined by theater director Kirsten Sanderson and the acclaimed Arab-American journalist Rami Khouri for a conversation about the creation of the new play A Thousand Strange Places: Anthony Shadid and the Middle East, which will receive a workshop production at the MacMillan Center at Yale on April 29 (8:00pm) and April 30 (7:00pm). The play, which is being co-produced by Yale’s Council on Middle East Studies and the Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR) and Global Engagement Initiative at the American University of Beirut (AUB), will be accompanied by a panel on the afternoon of April 30 at the MacMillan Center of renowned journalists from The New York Times, The Washington Post and elsewhere who knew Shadid, which will be organized and moderated by Rami Khouri.
