Zeynep Nur is a Ph.D. candidate at Boğaziçi University’s Institute of Environmental Sciences, Turkey. Her research explores the governance of commons from a long-term perspective and identifies what kind of responses are developed by community members in the light of exogenous social-ecological factors. Zeynep received her bachelor’s degree from Yildiz Technical University, Turkey, and her MSc Bioeconomy degree from Universität Hohenheim, Germany where she examined ecosystem services of a drying lake for her thesis. Apart from her native Turkish and English, she is fluent in Arabic and has intermediate knowledge of German and Urdu/ Hindi. She is also interested in traditional Turkish arts and is trained in the art of marbling.
