Sidal Oner

Sidal ÖNER is the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant in Turkish from August 2016 to May 2017. She majored in English Language and Literature at Gaziantep University in 2010. She also earned her language teaching certificate from the same university during her undergraduate years. She was chosen as one of the student leaders by Fulbright Study of the U.S. Institutes for Student Leaders Program (SUSIs) in 2008. She did her MA in English Language Teaching at Çağ University under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Kim Raymond Humiston (2013). Her areas of interest are culture and language learning, graphic novels and automobility studies. Throughout her academic career, she enrolled in different certificate programs in ELT. 

Öner has been working as an English language instructor at the School of Foreign Languages (SFL) at Bursa Technical University for the past  two years. She has been teaching academic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills as well as presentation skills to college students. She is the Speaking Coordinator of her SFL and also worked as a member of Testing Office. She will be assisting Özgen Felek at the Council on Middle East Studies at Yale.
