Current Fox Fellow, Valentina Rozo, in collaboration with the Political Science Department, will be presenting* her research on Wednesday, November 2nd, from 11:30am - 1:00pm in Rosenkranz Hall, Room 202. Here is the abstract for her presentation:
The Truth Commission joined with the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP) and HRDAG in the “JEP-CEV-HRDAG data integration and statistical estimation” project. This project aimed to produce official statistical information on the magnitude and patterns of violence in the context of the Colombian armed conflict and ended with the publication of the Final Report of the Truth Commission. In this talk Valentina Rozo-Ángel, Fox International Fellow and consultant at HRDAG, will present the methods used at the project, as well as the findings. We hope to hold this as a hybrid event, pending confirmation of time and venue.
*Note from Valentina: Please keep in mind that the project was a statistical project and therefore is based on quantitative methods. In that sense, the talk will include some technical aspects. Yet, I like to explain the notion behind the models. If you are curious about the work, please feel free to attend.

The Political Science department is hosting this event and will provide lunch. If you are going to attend, please complete their survey before EOD, Thursday 10/27.
