In commemoration of World Refugee Day on June 20th, Mercy Corps is supporting a global streaming event of the film ‘Terror and Hope: The Science of Resilience’ available for free on-line viewing from June 14-20. This new documentary (35 minutes) is about research-based work helping Syrian refugee youth overcome trauma. It is filmed with Syrian communities in Jordan.
An on-line conversation and Q&A will feature the award-winning documentary filmmaker, Ron Rourke, as well as Matt Streng (Director, Young People and Protection, Mercy Corps) and Catherine Panter-Brick (Professor, Yale University, Principal Investigator for the research work).
The film will be officially released for use by schools, universities, and libraries that week by Collective Eye Films, then available on the Kanopy Streaming Platform for free use by students and library patrons around the world. https://www.collectiveeye.org
