Margaret Marcotte is the Director of Outreach on Africa and Middle East Studies.  Prior to her experience at Yale, she worked as a Country Officer and Trade Analyst in the sub-Saharan Africa Region of the World Bank, as well as in translation services for policy development in the Maghreb Region.   She has also worked in the U.S. Department of Treasury, (US Customs Service), the U.S. Department of Navy, in translation services, and with French and US private sector companies.   Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in outreach programming, working with local, international and educational groups.  Her education includes a Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature from the University of Rhode Island, which included a year of study in France.
